The road leaving the freeway up to Eptagonia is absolutely amazing! They have excellent tarmac, fast sweeping turns, beautiful chicanes... enough to get your knee down if you´re up for that kind of thing. If you´re not into the turns, the views from the hills are gorgeous. Although there was a sign for radar controls, I did not see any. And a few motorcyclist friends told me that bikes are off-limits for coppers due to prior accidents resulting from high-speed chases. Another cop has verbally confirmed this for me. After Eptagonia, however, you enter into a number of quaint villages... great for catching some of the local feel, but a nightmare if you don´t have the patience for slow speeds, dusty and pot-holed roads, blind and tight corners, hairpin turns, farm animals, villagers (who pay less attention than the animals). If you only have an hour to kill or less, the road from the highway to Eptagonia is awesome.
Nice half-day Trip.
