Riden Dec 2010. Lovely surface. Almost empty. Great scenery changing from Wild West to Scottish Highland Forrest at times. A great road for touring. Not so much choice for those wanting loads of bends.
Ridden September 2008. Little traffic, no Police, excellent surface (some dust from trucks. No many roads like this where you can approach top speed several times!
A bridge has been damaged on Km 432 in Salas de los Infantes. Now under repairs, total recovery expected by the end of the 07 summer. In Salas de los Infantes, the bridge has now traffic lights for one sense only traffic over bridge. Increased police presence. Considerable queues expected for summer rides. But good scenery and nice areas.
Good road which, in conjuction with the N110 and SO920(as a shortcut),makes a longish but worthwhile detour. The SO920 in itself is a fantastic road with tight hairpins, open straights, and the occasional village - well worth the effort while the N110 is more open, faster, and the scenery a little less exciting. Generally the surface is good and they are relaying sections as I write. If heading North/South, you can use this instead of the A1/E5 Autovia if you have the time.
