When the lockdown is over i plan to ride from Calais to Switzerland avoiding motorways and toll roads,i will have plenty of time for detours and to spend a few days in france,does anyone have any interesting and picturesque routes or advice please.

Hi Mate, I've done this route a few times and my advice is don't go via France. Go via southern Belgium & into he south of Luxembourg stopping at Schengen for Baccy,fags alcohol & fuel is as cheap as chips! Then ride either through the Alsace of France or follow to Saarbrucken & head into SW Germany towards Baden Baden then pick up the B500 all the way to the Swiss border. For good access to the best passes head to Meringen & stay around there for the Furka,Susten, Grimsel etc..
