Very nice route with great scenery and nice corners. I made mistake and took it from North so next time I need to fix it. Corners from south are much better than that few rocky one from north
This road passes through the Triglav National Park (the only one in Slovenia). Once again the scenery is incredible: The Julian Alps ! The paved roads won't bother you.
Nice road to go, nice scenery around, on a Wing just do it easily, no need to rush. Buy a sticker on the top. Beware the ships walking on a road, they are not afraid of anything!
I read about the route and loved it so since I live in Serbia now, I took days off work( May 18th-22) and it was amazing. In the AM I was in Kranjska Gora and by the evening I was at the seaside in Portoroz all taking side roads. This pass did meet all my expectations and then some. The scenery around SOCA river is also amazing/ I am already planing next year. A route I would recommend to everybody.
Corners on the north side are cobble stones, on the south side its all tarmac but with a fair bit of subsidence which demands your attention at all times. A nice cafe at the top serving local food, see photo for multilingual menu
A unique scenery pass with 48 hairpins most of them paved. There are signs in every hairpin counting up to 48.
Morsko - Slovenia
